Baby Affan was born in Pitas, Sabah, Malaysia. From the moment he arrived, his gentle smile brought light into our lives. Even as a newborn, he was a quiet, peaceful soul, finding comfort in our arms. We dreamed of watching him grow strong, play with friends, and explore the world with curiosity.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

But our world changed within days of his birth. Affan struggled to breathe and was rushed to the NICU. Doctors diagnosed him with Tracheal Stenosis \u2014 a severe narrowing of his windpipe that makes every breath a battle. As if that wasn\u2019t enough, he was also born with Omphalocoele (a defect in his abdominal wall) and Meckel\u2019s Diverticulum perforation (a dangerous intestinal complication), both of which required immediate surgeries to save his life.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Today, he survives with the help of a CPAP machine that delivers oxygen every hour of every day. We feed him through a nasogastric tube with special formula. He cannot cry for long or laugh freely without risking his breath.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Yet, through it all, he still gives us tiny smiles that remind us why we must keep fighting for him.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The doctors have told us Affan needs two critical surgeries to survive and grow:
\u2022\u00a0 \u00a0Tracheoplasty to widen his airway so he can breathe on his own.
\u2022\u00a0 \u00a0Cardiac Surgery (PDA Ligation and PFO Closure) to repair his heart.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The total cost, including post-surgery care, is about RM120K. My wife has left her job to care for him full-time, and I work part-time as an electrician to keep our family afloat. But the costs are far beyond what we can manage on our own.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
